Prince Harry is placed between Prince Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin, and Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie’s husband. The front row was exclusively reserved for working royals, including Harry’s estranged brother Prince William and Kate Middleton.
As seen, Prince Harry opted for a morning suit instead of a military uniform.
According to Page Six, the Duke of Sussex didn’t request to be seated in the front row nor insist on wearing his uniform. Prince Harry had arrived in London late Friday and he’s expected to leave the coronation in time for his son Prince Archie’s 4th birthday. Of Meghan Markle’s absence, Royals insiders Page Six that Markle thought it would be “inauthentic” to attend given her tensions with the family.
The source added, “They had to make a decision that felt genuine and authentic, especially after everything that has been said and all the things that have gone down.”
Numerous reports pointed out that both Prince Charles and Prince Harry didn’t meet up on Friday as the latter went straight to Frogmore Cottage, his Windsor Castle. Though, this visit is set to be Harry’s final one to the property. Adding to the injury, Prince Harry wasn’t given any official duty at the ceremony, despite being 5th in the line of succession to the British throne. William and his eldest son Prince George, 9, were both assigned special duties for the occasion.
However, tensions have heightened between Prince Harry and members of the royal family, specifically Prince William and Prince Charles, after the publication of his critical memoir, “Spare.”
According to sources, while Prince Harry’s relationship with his father and brother is strained, he maintains a close relationship with his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who are the daughters of Prince Andrew, as well as Zara Phillips, the daughter of Princess Anne, and her husband Mike Tindall. On the other hand, Harry will not be staying to celebrate after his father Charles and Camilla are crowned King and Queen.
