Moment Cardi B Tosses Mic As Concertgoer Throws Drink At Her On Stage

Cardi B instantly retaliated when an audience member hurled their drink at her during her performance in Las Vegas. This incident is the latest amid growing concern over a trend of concertgoers throwing objects at female artists on stage. A video posted on social media shows that the rapper was performing her hit “Bodak Yellow” when someone held a large cup and flung the drink at her.

At first, Cardi B looked shocked but immediately retaliates by throwing her microphone at the person.

Cardi B is the latest artist subjected to concertgoers either physically assaulting them or throwing airborne objects on stage as they perform. Just last month, Bebe Rexha posted photos of her bruised eye after a concertgoer threw a phone at her during a performance at Pier 17 in Manhattan. Nicolas Malvagna, the man charged, allegedly told a witness he “thought it would be funny” to hit singer.

Nicolas’ attorney said the concertgoer had hoped Rexha would take photos on stage and throw the phone back to him. Also, during a performance in Idaho about a week after Rexha’s incident, country singer Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face by an object while she was singing her song “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too).” She left the stage and spoke to fans after she returned to perform the song acoustically.

“I want to say about what just happened, all I care about is keeping everyone safe,” Kelsea said in the video shared by a fan. “So if you ever don’t feel safe, please let someone around you know. There’s security everywhere tonight.” Harry Styles also appeared to cringe in pain after being hit with an object during his concert in Vienna in early July. It’s unclear what happened, but Styles was seen in a fan video holding his head in his hands while walking offstage.

Notably, this was the second time Styles has been hit with something during his “Love on Tour” performance. In 2022, Styles had been hit in the eye with a Skittles candy that was thrown at him. At the time, Skittles responded with an advertisement in the Los Angeles Times urging people, not the throw the candy. However, Cardi B’s incident has earned over 14 million views on Twitter as well as over 6 million views on TikTok.
