A source then told PEOPLE, “It was short-lived and it is over.” Neither the actress nor Millepied has addressed the reports, but according to multiple sources, the pair are determined to stay together in marriage despite the cheating scandal.
Natalie Portman and Millepied met when he was hired to choreograph her 2010 film Black Swan.
“He knows he made an enormous mistake and he is doing all he can to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together,” the insider told the publication. “Natalie is incredibly private and has no intention of playing this out in the media. Her biggest priority is protecting her children and their privacy.”
The actress had told Sirius XM how she was captivated by Millepied’s personality.
“I was in dreamland,” Natalie shared. “We had a whole, like, he was teaching me to dance. You know, one of those romantic [stories] … It was definitely exciting and fun. It was beautiful. I don’t know about instant. It was like I really got to know him and that was when it seemed like, ‘Oh, this is the person.” However, the pair tied the knot in 2012 and share two children, Amalia, 6, and Aleph, 12.
