Posted by Erica Herman has filed court documents accusing Tiger Woods of multiple s*xual harassment during their relationship, starting from when she began working at his Florida restaurant, The Woods Jupiter. Herman states in court papers that Woods employed her in 2014, and they had a romantic relationship afterward.
In 2017, Herman alleges Tiger Woods coerced her into signing an NDA, threatening to fire her if she declined.
“A boss imposing different work conditions on his employee because of their sexual relationship is sexual harassment,” Herman’s attorneys wrote in the court filing. It’s also asserted that Woods engaged in s*xual harassment again in 2022 and expelled her from their home after their relationship ended, which she regards as harassment.
Herman is suing Woods for $30 million.
“The landlord made the availability of her housing conditional on her having s*xual relationship with a co-tenant,” Herman’s attorneys added in the docs. “That conduct amounts to sexual harassment under federal and Florida fair housing laws.” There is no response yet from Woods regarding the accusations, but he denied any s*xual misconduct with Herman in March court documents, describing her as a “jilted ex-girlfriend.”
In her filing, Herman addressed the ‘jilted ex-GF’ remark, calling it “consistent with his harassing behavior.”
“That peevish response is taken from the classic playbook of powerful men accused of s*xual harassment who respond by belittling and insulting their victims,” Herman’s attorneys wrote. Herman restated that she believes the NDA she signed with Woods should be deemed unenforceable under the federal Speak Out Act, which bars the enforcement of NDAs signed before a s*xual assault or harassment claim arises.
