Posted by As she walked down the Met Gala red carpet on May 1 in a bold pearl outfit, Kim Kardashian spoke with Marc Malkin of Variety about her upcoming role in “American Horror Story: Delicate.” In its twelfth season, the anthology show showcases a star-studded cast including Emma Roberts, Matt Czuchry, Cara Delevingne, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, MJ Rodriguez, and Odessa A’zion.
The American Horror Story,’ which will feature Kim Kardashian is an adaptation of Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel “Delicate Condition” and is expected to deliver a spine-tingling tale of “Rosemary’s Baby.”
“We start shooting my stuff at the end of this month. But production has already started, and I’m so excited.” While she couldn’t tease much about the role, she added, “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience.” When asked if she was taking acting lessons, she replied, “I am, of course. It’s a challenge. I like to challenge myself.”
In addition to her work in reality TV, Kardashian has made a foray into the realm of scripted entertainment, earning acclaim for her notable roles in feature films such as “Disaster Movie” (2008), “Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” (2013), and “PAW Patrol: The Movie” (2021).
However, as stated in a press release, Schiaparelli was responsible for Kardashian’s lavish attire at the Met Gala. The outfit featured a draped skirt and top adorned with 50,000+ freshwater pearls and over 16,000 crystals. Additionally, a blush satin corset and bone white washed faille stole were paired with unique baroque pearls, a crystal choker, pearl drop earrings, and an articulated ring to complete the look.
Creating the outfit required the hard work of a team of twelve skilled artisans who spent more than 1,000 hours meticulously stringing and draping each strand of pearls to perfectly fit Kardashian’s body.
