Posted by Daniel Radcliffe and his long-time GF Erin Darke are now parents! The couple are yet to share details about the baby’s name, sex, or birth but then, the DailyMail has shared some photos of Radcliffe pushing a baby stroller in New York City with Erin walking closely by his side on Monday.
Back in March, The Times confirmed that Radcliffe and Darke were expecting their first baby, more than a decade after they met on the set of the 2013 movie “Kill Your Darlings.”
In the movie, Radcliffe played the role of Allen Ginsberg, a poet from the Beat Generation, while Darke played one of his love interests. ‘The film is “a wonderful record of us flirting for the first time,’ Radcliffe told Playboy in October 2015, adding, ‘There’s a moment when she makes me laugh, and I’m laughing as me and not as my character. She was funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble.
The couple also worked together in 2021 for an episode of Radcliffe’s TBS series “Miracle Workers.”
In a recent interview with Newsweek, Radcliffe opened up about how he would want to approach fatherhood, stating ‘I want my kids, if and when they exist … I would love them to be around film sets. A dream would be for them to come onto a film set and be like ‘God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department. I’d love to be something in the crew.’ Some part of this, but not from that.’
However, the actor told the publication he wants to shield his future children from fame.
He continued, ‘Film sets are wonderful places. I think a lot of the time it can be wonderful for kids. But it’s really the fame side of it that should be avoided at all costs.’ In 2018, Darke also told PEOPLE that she and her “Miracle Workers” co-star bonded over their passion for acting. She shared, ‘There’s something that’s really beautiful and really lovely about being with someone who just innately understands that about you.’
Darke further said of Radcliffe, ‘He helps me make self-tapes sometimes. He’s a great reader, by the way. We’re both incredibly supportive of the other person’s career.’
