More than a year after Bruce Willis retired from acting, Arnold Schwarzenegger is speaking out. It will be recalled that the 68-year-old announced in March 2022, through his family, his retirement from acting, after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects language expression and comprehension. Then, in February 2023, the family announced he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia after his condition had progressed.

As he promotes his new Netflix series, Fubar, Schwarzenegger spoke about his old friend’s retirement.

In his interview with CinemaBlend, the actor shared, ‘I think that he’s fantastic. He was, always for years and years, a huge, huge star,’ Schwarzenegger began. And I think that he will always be remembered as a great, great star. And a kind man. I understand that under his circumstances, health-wise, he had to retire. But in general, you know, we never really retire. Action heroes, they reload.’
