The ‘Stranger Things star has celebrated her forthcoming wedding to fiancé Jake Bongiovi with families at an intimate party. Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi had on April 11 announced they were engaged after two years of dating. At the time, the news left fans shocked as well as drew criticisms, with a few calling the star a child bride and eleven, in reference to her age and her Netflix character.
For her engagement party, Millie Bobby Brown, 19, opted for a two-piece bridal white Giambattista Valli lace set trimmed with pearls. She wore her brunette hair down in loose waves.
Fiancé Jake opted for a green suit with lapels and paired it with a simple white button-up shirt and black belt for the occasion.
Photos shared by hairstylist Pete Burkill on Instagram show the happy couple as they pose in front of a white balloon arch and a neon sign that spelled out, “Mr. & Mrs. Bongiovi.” Despite the backlash online, Bongiovi’s dad, Jon Bon Jovi seems to approve of the couple’s love, telling Andy Cohen on an episode of his Sirius XM show that “I don’t know if age matters.”
Jon Bon Jovi added, “If you find the right partner and you grow together, I think that would be my advice, really, is growing together is wise.” However, Jake had proposed to the British beauty with a super classic round diamond ring and according to experts, it’s estimated to cost anywhere from $75K to $150K. Bon Jovi, 61, might not be that concerned about his child’s engagement as he had also been married to his high school lover since 1989.
