Her disappearance was also featured in an episode of the Netflix series, ‘Unsolved Mysteries.’ Kayla, according to South Elgin Police was last seen on July 4, 2017. Her father, Ryan went to pick her up from her mother’s house in Wheaton on July 5, but she wasn’t there. At the time, he had full custody and her mother only had visitation rights.

Still in shock, Ryan Iskerka reportedly said he’s overjoyed his daughter is home safe and that he always held onto the hope he’d find his daughter again one day.

He added, ‘We ask for privacy as we get to know each other again and navigate this new beginning.” However, Kayla’s mom, Heather is now being held on a $250,000 bond and awaiting extradition to Illinois, according to CBS affiliate WBTV. She is due in court on July 11th.
