The ‘My Heart Will Go On’ singer’s Courage World Tour is making a stop as Celine Dion has been urged to rebuild her health and continues to recover. The superstar says her health has continued to take a toll on her performing skills, announcing the cancellation of her entire tour. She added that she’s receiving treatment for a diagnosed medical condition that prevents her from performing.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again,” Celion Dion wrote on Instagram.
She added, ‘I’m working really hard to build back my strength, but touring can be very difficult even when you’re 100%.” “It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows, and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again.” Dion disclosed in December that she’d been diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome.
The medical condition is described as a disorder with symptoms that have been causing her to have severe muscle spasms, which have also affected her vocal cords. When Dion announced the diagnosis at the time, she said the Europe part of her tour wouldn’t2023, be able to restart in February 2023 and the spring dates were pushed to 2024 while the show she scheduled for the summer was canceled.
The latest cancellation affects 42 shows in Europe, with three August concerts in Amsterdam. Fans can, however, contact their original points of purchase for refunds.
On the other hand, Dion unveiled a collection of five fresh tracks for the romantic movie “Love Again.” Helmed by James C. Strouse, the film showcases Priyanka Chopra Jonas as a sorrowful widow and Sam Heughan as the unwitting recipient of the heartfelt text messages she continues to send to her deceased spouse’s phone number. Adding to her artistic endeavors, Dion made her debut as an actress in the film, portraying a fictionalized version of herself.
